The exhibition Além da Biblioteca [Beyond the Library] was held at Museu Lasar Segall, in São Paulo, from July to October 2011, featuring works by eleven artists (Ana Dias Batista, Marilá Dardot, Edith Derdyk, Daniel Escobar, Marcius Galan, Lucia Mindlin Loeb, Jorge Macchi, Odires Mlászho, Fabio Morais, Coletivo Zine Parasita and Nicolás Paris), who occupied the museum’s temporary exhibition room.

In December, 2011, SP-Arte launched the Curatorial Lab, conceived and organized by Adriano Pedrosa. The program received conceptual outlines from young curators throughout Brazil, describing their ideas for an exhibition. Pedrosa and Rodrigo Moura selected four of these projects to be shown in a special section at the Fair, featuring works by artists represented by the participating galleries.
