Paulo Kuczynski Escritório de Arte
São Paulo, Brazil
Located at São Paulo since 1974, Paulo Kuczynski Escritório de Arte works mainly with Brazilian artists from the Modernist, Concrete and Neo-Concrete movements. In 2006, the gallery showed Helio Oiticica’s anthological exhibition, with curatorship by Guy Brett. The gallery’s premise is offering relevant art works from the best periods of each artist, and it only shows exhibitions when it is able to gather a very significant collection. That was what happened in the “Di: alguns inesquecíveis”, a show with art pieces from the 1920s to the 1940s by Di Cavalcanti; in the “Volpi: uma homenagem” that collected art works from the 1930s to the 1960s by Alfredo Volpi; “A natureza como atelier” a show with art pieces from the 1960s to the 1980s by Frans Krajcberg; and “Enigmas instantâneos” a show with art pieces from the 1970s to the 1980s by Cildo Meireles.
