Fólio

Fólio was founded in the year 2000, by the initiative of two doctors, who were quite passionate for rare books. In the beginning, Fólio developed its business dealing in antiquarian books on brazilian history, literature, and travel. After some time, the founders – Paulo Rosenbaum and Rogério Pires – decided to diversify the focus by starting to work with books on art.

With good acceptance by the market, and recognition coming from enthusiastic collectors and important cultural institutions, the partners went one step further, branching out into different areas. At that stage, an innovative gallery emerged in São Paulo, establishing a new pattern of offering works of art to the public: vintage photographs, original drawings, watercolors, gouaches, monotypes, etchings and lithographs – specially in small issues.

Since then, Fólio has been exhibiting in the most significant local and international fairs, with great joy and professionalism.
