Just as the land is plowed for new plantings, objects are also revisited in search of fresh perspectives. The “Arado” Collection consists of two lines: objects and stools. These pieces explore the materiality and techniques found in everyday objects that, in some way, represent the local culture of Minas Gerais: enameled tableware and rustic benches. The studio’s reinterpretation aims to update the design and usage of these traditional typologies, reinforcing the duo’s unique style.
In the objects, enameled receptacles take center stage. They serve as containers for objects, fruits, and even flowers. Wood serves as a base for the delicate glazed surfaces, a common element across all models, yet each object possesses distinct shapes, making it a singular force.
The stools in this collection are crafted from two materials: solid wood and cast metal. Inspired by the distinctive triangular cutouts often seen in rustic benches, the new designs emerged from formal experimentation. The repetition, rhythm, and strength of these cutouts infuse the stools with a sense of contemporary freshness. Different dimensions and shapes enrich the line, allowing these pieces to function both as seating and as side tables.
