At the same time, Casa SP–Arte opens the last exhibition of the year: Here lies the desert and within it I dream myself. Participating in the Circuito SP–Arte Jardins are the galleries Andrea Rehder, Aura, Casa Triângulo, DAN Galeria, Galatea, Luis Maluf, Luisa Strina, Marcelo Guarnieri, Sé, Simões de Assis, Superfície, and Zipper.

The activities include exhibition openings and guided tours led by artists and curators. Learn more about each activity and the complete agenda below.

Casa SP–Arte

Here lies the desert and within it I dream myself; here lies the oasis, and in it, I know not how to live is an exhibition promoted by Almeida & Dale featuring works by Iberê Camargo and Oswaldo Goeldi. Amidst singularities and affinities, the selected collection was produced between 1940 and 1990, reflecting a perception of time and space in the works of both artists. The curator is Galciani Neves.

Open for visitation from 11 am to 5 pm. Performance with Renan Marcondes from 2 pm to 5 pm (age rating: 14 years).

Casa SP–Arte: al. Ministro Rocha Azevedo, 1.052

Andrea Rehder

Terra e Fogo, Água e Ar is a comprehensive collection of the artwork by Antonio Pulquério, featuring sculptures and ceramic installations, collages, performances, and more. For the opening, Pulquério invites everyone to a grand procession-performance titled Sacred Heart in the vicinity of the gallery, inaugurating the exhibition with a grand finale of the performance by placing the final piece that completes the exhibition layout.

The gallery is open from 11 am to 5 pm. The procession-performance begins at 11:30 am.

Andrea Rehder: av. Brasil, 2.079

Aura

With over a dozen artworks, plano-paisagem presents a collection of paintings and painting-objects by the artist Bruno Weilemann Belo produced between 2020 and 2023. The exhibition is curated by Gabriel San Martin. As the title suggests, plano-paisagem delves into issues primarily involving the processes of image construction and the relationships between painting and plane, landscape and abstraction.

The gallery is open from 10 am to 5 pm. Guided tour with the artist at 5 pm.

Aura: rua da Consolação, 2.767

Out of Register is Albano Afonso’s 11th solo exhibition at the gallery. The exhibition presents to the public a series of unpublished photographs. Afonso explores different elements of contemporary daily life in his works, establishing a connection with art history, photography, self-portraiture, and still life, always with a contemporary language.

The gallery is open from 10 am to 5 pm.

Casa Triângulo: rua Estados Unidos, 1.324

DAN Galeria

The exhibition Seres presents the imaginative universe created by Ivald Granato, characterized by its vibrant colors, expressive lines, and a constant rock and roll pulse that highlights the various beings created by the artist. The curator, Daniel Rangel, has chosen a figurative focus that spans from the mid-1980s to the year 2000. The exhibition marks the artist’s inclusion in the gallery’s collection, signifying a rediscovery of a historical moment in Brazilian art.

The gallery is open from 10 am to 1 pm. Guided tours are available at 11 am and 12:30 pm.

DAN Galeria: rua Estados Unidos, 1.638

Galatea

Aislan Pankararu: mitocôndria ancestral brings together unpublished works, including paintings and a large installation, that introduce new elements to the repertoire of materials previously explored by the artist. By merging his experiences as a member of the Pankararu people from the interior of Pernambuco and as a doctor at the University Hospital in Brasília, Aislan creates a unique visuality that converges these distinct worlds in his production.

The gallery is open from 11 am to 3 pm.

Galatea: rua Oscar Freire, 379

Luis Maluf

Leandra Espírito Santo and Luiz Escañuela participate in the exhibition Carne, Pele, Luz e Metal, curated by Agnaldo Farias. The artists provoke a reflection on humanity in the digital world, exploring how flesh and metal intersect. Escañuela introduces a change in his artistic expression, moving away from the perfect realism of human skin, while for Espírito Santo, common emoji gestures come to life in bronze, establishing a fusion between the virtual and the tangible world.

The gallery is open for visitation from 11 am to 5 pm. A guided tour with the artists is available at 3 pm.

Luis Maluf Galeria de Arte: rua Peixoto Gomide, 1.887

Luisa Strina

Anexo do Salão Azul is Cinthia Marcelle‘s first exhibition at Galeria Luisa Strina, and her first solo show following a series of retrospective exhibitions of her work held at various institutions between 2022 and 2023. The exhibition takes as its starting point the replacement of the carpet in the Blue Hall of the Brazilian Senate, which was permanently damaged during the invasion and vandalism of the buildings of the three branches of government in the Federal Capital on January 8, 2023.

The gallery is open from 10 am to 5 pm. A guided tour is available at 3:30 pm.

Luisa Strina: rua Padre João Manuel, 755

Marcelo Guarnieri

The exhibition Não estou mais onde existo nem onde penso, Ana Sario‘s third exhibition at the gallery, continues the artist’s exploration of the transient nature of the landscape. While the artist previously worked with thick layers of paint and fields of color, raising questions about the concept of clarity by suppressing landscape details, she now relies on small, multiple colored dots that aim to create a sense of vastness and depth.

The gallery is open from 10 am to 5 pm. A guided tour is available at 2 pm.

Marcelo Guarnieri: alameda Franca, 1.054

The exhibition Chocolate imaginário a solo show by Maria Montero, the founding artist of Sé, stems from the personal experience of losing her father. It proposes a poetic investigation into the finitude of life, celebrating existence and the emotional legacy left behind with death. Through a collection of objects, installations, drawings, photographs, and instructions for performance, the exhibition explores, with a light-hearted and joyful approach to life, the process of mourning and how people continue their journey in life, carrying with them memories and affections left by those who have departed.

The gallery is open from 11 am to 5 pm, with the artist’s presence.

: alameda Lorena, 1257, casa 2

Through a selection of twelve works, the exhibition Película provides an overview of the artistic career of Vera Chaves Barcellos, bringing together both well-known and lesser-seen works by the artist. With text by Veronica Stigger, the title refers to the series De Película, which metonymically discusses photography and cinema in open conversation with conceptual art.

The gallery is open from 11 am to 5 pm, with the artist’s presence.

Superfície: rua Oscar Freire, 240

Zipper

Known for her vibrant colors, whether in pastel tones or more intense scales, Nina Pandolfo’s canvases stand out for the presence of playful characters. In Suplementos, the artist explores significant themes such as human connection, legacy, and resilience. The exhibition features 15 canvases and a collaborative sculpture, providing interaction with visitors.

The gallery is open from 11 am to 5 pm. A guided tour is available at 2 pm.
