Jac Leirner is an artist with a great path and an internationally acclaimed career. Recently, she won the German prize Wolfgang Hahn, granted by the Museum Ludwig, in Cologne, becoming the first Brazilian artist to be awarded.

One of the most important concrete Brazilian artists, his works have gained growing attention from the public, despite late. For his canvases, Valentim was inspired by Bahia cultural roots and his African ancestors, and was a self-taught painter.

Of the many facets from Anna Bella Geiger’s body of work, painting is one of the most interesting. Mainly those produced between the 1970s and 1980s, which carry much of her work’s political discourse, in a general sense, intertwined with questions around image and, in some cases, a more aesthetic appeal.
