Anita Ekman, Sandra Benites e Edgard Calel na programação da SP–Arte 2021

SP–Arte teams with Galeria Jaqueline Martins in a new institutional partnership to launch the fourth edition of Cápsula, a public program conceived by the gallery, with critics and curators Mirtes Marins de Oliveira and Lisette Lagnado. The initiative is part of the 17th SP-Arte agenda, taking place before and during the event, on the 16th and 23rd October, and will be streamed on SP–Arte’s YouTube channel. 

Amid the turmoil surrounding the idea of the “marco temporal” [temporal mark] that erases centuries of traditional indigenous history, participants in Cápsula 4 will be Sandra Benites, Anita Ekman and Edgar Calel. They will discuss feminist forms of resistance, the concept of borders, land, and the importance of journeys — both physical and relating to identity— for the Guarani and Maya peoples.
