More than 2,000 works from around one hundred galleries will be exhibited in this edition of SP–Arte.
We invite some of the most prominent curators in the field to introduce our visitors to some of the many readings that can guide a visitor’s journey through the works. So stay tuned: from October 20th to 24th, SP–Arte will receive unprecedented and exclusively digital curatorships in our Viewing Room!
Selections, curatorial texts and views by Diane Lima, Pollyanna Quintella, Ricardo Sardenberg, Catarina Duncan and Tiago Mesquita will be available. The field of design is also specially curated by Winnie Bastian.
Diane Lima is an independent curator, writer and researcher. Her projects are pioneering in the debate on artistic and curatorial practices in a decolonial perspective in Brazil.
Pollyana Quintella is a curator, researcher and cultural critic. She writes for several cultural newspapers and magazines and is also a professor of History of Art in Brazil and Theory of Image.
Catarina Duncan works as a curator focusing on cultural practices and territorial identities in Latin America.
Ricardo Sardenberg is a curator, editor and art critic. He currently directs the Projeto Vênus gallery and the Lanterna Mágica room.
Tiago Mesquita is an art critic and professor of History of Art at CAP-USP. He also works as a curator and has published in several national and international journals.
Winnie Bastian has been a journalist focused on design since 2000. Creator of the Design do Bom website, she was editor in chief of Arc Design magazine, editor of L+D and Casa Vogue magazines and curator of the São Paulo Design Week (DW!).
